My recommendations for the week: Name.com serves my domains well.  Pacificrack.com delivers on dedicated servers.

On the way out of my favorite list is pair.com (high prices, low disk space quotas, and no support for mod deflate in shared hosting) -- though pair.com is reliable at least.

And on the "junked" list is godaddy - I'd already begun transferring some of my domains elsewhere due to this domain host's slow website and annoying upsells.  But now after their website being not only slow - but broken - for the past 3 hours - destroying one of my DNS records and making logins impossible - even for their customer service rep who I called on the phone - sorry, folks, but I've increased the urgency of removing the rest of my domains from godaddy.  The only name server I've ever used worse than godaddy was registerfly.com (thank god those days are over!).
